Grab ’n’ Go Kids Planner: Summer Fun

We know that parents are busy people. With school out, you probably need some help with planning fun stuff for the kids. A number of summer camps will be held locally, and this week marks the beginning of the summer concert series in Eisenhower Park.

Why go: Activities this week include an Angels baseball game, a “wheels day” and a screening of The Prince and the Pauper.

Why go: Groove to tunes all about California
Pricing: $6 for parking

Where/When: Orange County Zoo, 1 Irvine Park Road, Orange; 11 a.m. to noon Saturday
Why go: Children ages 5 to 8 will learn how to turn two toilet paper tubes into a toy for the zoo animals.

Where/When: Los Alamitos Race Course, 4961 Katella Ave., Los Alamitos; 6 p.m. Saturday
Why go: Because there's nothing cuter than a dachshund trying to race.
