If you're a local community group, you're running out of time to ask for Seal Beach funding.
The deadline for non-profit, not-for-profit, or a community service organizations to apply for city grants is Feb. 15, city staff announced this week.
According to staff, last year the City Council recommended $112,000 in grants to a number of community groups including the Seal Beach Lyons Club and the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce.
“As far the city is concerned a lot of these organizations provide a lot of critical support for a lot of different programs (in Seal Beach),” said Patrick Gallegos, Seal Beach administrative manager.
Applications are available at the Community Services Department at City Hall 911 Seal Beach Boulevard.
All requests will be discussed in the City’s budget hearings, and staff say if you ask later in the year, your request won't be considered.
For more information, call Gallegos at (562) 431-2527 ext. 1308.
