City Kicks Off Holiday Decorating Contest
Residents in Los Alamitos are encouraged to show off their holiday spirit in this year;s Holiday Decorating Contest.
If the holidays are your favorite time of the year, the city of Los Alamitos has the contest for you.
The Los Alamitos Recreation and Community Services Department is holding its 2011 Holiday Decorating Contest to encourage residents to decorate their homes in the spirit of the holidays.
The winners will be chosen between 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 14. Judges from the community will select 1st and 2nd place winners in each of the Los Alamitos neighborhoods.

Winners are requested to keep decorations on display throughout the holiday season. Signs will be distributed to each winner for display in front of their home.
A map of the winning homes will be posted on the City website for community members to visit during the holiday season.
