Calling All Ducks' Fans: This Cat is For You
Like namesake Teemu Selanne, the future hockey hall of famer, this little cat has endurance.
Editor’s Note: The Cat of the Week feature is written and submitted by Gail Bowers, a volunteer at the Seal Beach Animal Care Center where the animals are available for adoption. The shelter is at 1700 Adolfo Lopez Drive, Seal Beach, (562) 430-4993.
Teemu is a handsome orange tabby of about 18 months who has used up
several of his nine lives.
He was hit by a car but has made a remarkable recovery. He was rescued by a Seal Beach resident who kept him overnight but could not take care of his injuries, most of which turned out to be internal.

He has had multiple surgeries costing over $6000 to repair his abdomen and intestines. It took about a month, but he is now doing well, has no permanent damage and is ready for his own home.
Despite all he has been through, he is playful and a sweet and loving cat who is sure to make the perfect companion.
