Crews will finish taking down Seal Beach's winter berm this week in time for the Easter sunrise service on the beach.
The berm went up in a hurry in November to beat an early storm, and it made it all the way to the first day of spring, which was March. 20. East beach has been closed since the teardown began on Monday, and it will stay closed until the work is complete midweek.
