The event begins at 1 p.m. at Tankfarm & Co. flagship store at 212 Main Street.

"I’m a bit of a recluse and not much for traveling and leaving my family and have only done a couple of book signings over the years," said McKay on his website. "But LA is home to the largest percentage of AoM (Art of Manliness) readers, and I’ve developed some great online contacts there that I’ve long wanted to meet in the flesh."

"There will be free beer, coffee and haircuts," McKay adds. "If you live in the Southern California area, I would love for you to stop by and to meet you."

The event is sponsored by Imperial Barber Grade Products, Widmer Brothers Brewing and Handsome Coffee Roasters.
