38th Annual Class Notes Concert
Los Alamitos High School Jazz musicians preformed to a sold out crowd at the 38th Annual Class Notes Concert Saturday March 5, 2011.
Dozens of young musicians put on a jazz exhibition Saturday at the 38th Annual Class Notes Concert at Los Alamitos High School.
Jazz musicians from Los Alamitos High School, Oak Middle School and McAuliffe Middle School preformed with the Tom Kubris Big Band. The event is the major fundraiser for the high school and junior high school jazz programs.
Jazz radio DJ, Helen Borgers hosted the evening, which included performances by the Los Alamitos High School 1, 2 and 3 jazz bands with music director John Rush. Directed by “Class Notes” Founder Chuck Wackerman, the McAuliffe Middle School Jazz Band also performed along with the Oak Middle School Jazz Band, which was directed by Justin Padilla.
