$12,000 Raised for Family of Fallen Los Al Soldier at Fundraiser

The community rallied around the wife and son of Sgt. Thomas Raymond MacPherson, a Long Beach native and Los Al High grad, who was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2012.

He gave up everything for them, so they felt the least they could do was sweat a little for him.

On Saturday, the community joined in an atheltic fundraiser to support the wife and son of Sgt. Thomas Raymond MacPherson, a Long Beach native and Los Al High grad, who was killed in combat in Afghanistan in 2012.

The Honor Tommy Mac event included a 5k run, an intense workout of the day, and a raffle all to raise money for MacPherson's family.
