The Youth Center Makes Impactful Community Contributions this Holiday Season.

By Lisa Lee, Youth Center Community Relations Director

The Youth Center is honored to extend the most sincere thank you to every business and individual who contributed to the 15th annual Christmas Tree Lot fundraiser.  This holiday season tradition would not be possible without the vital partnership between the Youth Center and Ganahl Lumber.  If you volunteered at this event or purchased your tree from the lot, you may already know that all of the proceeds from this community tradition go directly into the valuable services and programs the Youth Center offers for children.

You may not know that your contribution to the Youth Center’s Tree Lot extends far beyond supporting this charity.  This annual event also provides funding to other valuable organizations, programs, and even families in need.  Over the past 15 years, the Youth Center has distributed over $150,000 to local schools including Rossmoor Elementary, Los Alamitos Elementary, Weaver, Lee, McGaugh, Hopkinson, Oak, McAuliffe, Los Alamitos High School, St. Hedwig Catholic, Marshall Middle School, and more.  A portion of these funds have also gone to support the Los Alamitos Marching Band, Los Alamitos High School Basketball, and the Los Alamitos High School Baseball Booster.

The Youth Center realizes that the success of this valuable community fundraiser would not be possible without the partnerships and support of so many generous businesses, families, and individuals.  To learn more about the programs offered at the Youth Center, volunteer, or join the Board of Directors, please contact Lisa Lee, Youth Center Community Relations Director at 562-493-4043, or email lisa@theyouthcenter.org .
