Huntington Beach, August 7, 2013 -- Take out your grass skirts and silk leis flowers for a night of food, fun and fund-raising taking place on Saturday, August 24th from 4pm-7pm as two great pet care providers come together for a great cause: A Benefit for the Canine Caviar Cancer Research Fund (CCCRF).
The beautiful evening on the Harbor for families and pets will combine fun with education and will feature information on how to keep your pet healthy, warning signs to look out for and what to do in an emergency. “The Pet Safety Guy””, Pet Tech International owner, Thom Somes, who is the first international training center dedicated to CPR, First Aid & Care for dogs and cats will be providing complimentary demos.
Because pets are the stars here, the event will feature a red carpet for pets to walk as well as their special celebrity guests.
Posh Pooch, held on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, prides itself on its eco-friendliness -- from its warm reclaimed barn wood furniture to its low-flow fixtures and LED lighting – it’s the perfect setting for Aloha Pawmehana.
“We are so excited about this event which raises money for a most important issue – cancer research. Dogs are such a big part of the community here and keeping them healthy is of utmost importance,” said Gary Ward, co-owner of Canine Caviar and co-founder of Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation.
All proceeds raised will go to the CCCRF and donations are Tax Deductible.

Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation
The Canine Caviar Cancer Research Foundation (CCCRF) primary purpose is to advance research in pet cancer and to educate and support the community on pet health and overall treatment. CCCRF will begin focusing on Feline and Canine pet cancer research and awareness and then later broaden to include more pets. CCCRF will be supporting research efforts in pet cancer research at universities in the United States and then eventually conducting its own research through the foundation. CCCRF will serve as a supportive network for the general public to obtain information, advice, and counsel on their pet’s health and alternative ways to support their pets. CCCRF will educate individuals, pet companies, and pet health professionals on current clinical treatments, and alternatives ways of therapies that are being used to treat pets with cancer.
