Labor Day weekend is here, but for some, the longer weekend just means more time to hit the stores for the exclusive Labor Day weekend sales and discounts. Every Labor Day weekend, retailers are putting out their inventory for deep discounts hoping for big returns and this year is no exception.

Here are some local Labor Day sales, discounts and deals to watch out for.

As expected, Target is offering major sales on electronics, including a 37” Magnavox LCD HD televisions for$349, which is $70 off the normal price. The 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle is 299.99, and the Wii game system bundle is $129.99 over the Labor Day Weekend. Check out there ad here.

The store is having a 2-day Labor Day sale starting Friday at 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Get up to 60 percent off on children’s, women’s, juniors and men’s apparel, jewelry and shoes. Barnes and Noble

If you haven’t already cleaned out your nearest Borders for their Going-Out-of-Business Sale, head to Barnes and Noble where members can save up to $25 on a Nook.  Nooks are starting at $139 and can be shipped for free.

As part of the Chico’s Labor Day Sale, select items will be up to 70 percent off and clearance items will be an additional 30 percent off.
