Jedi Training Isn't Cheap

Picture of the Day: Jedi use the force for some old-fashioned panhandling.

Ever wonder if those off ramp panhandlers are telling the truth with their sob stories?

You find yourself handing over a small wad of bills to a seemingly disabled veteran, and all you can do is trust that you’ve done the right thing.

Well, Paul from Seal Beach takes the guesswork out of the process and earns some points for creativity in the process.

This weekend, he parked himself at the center divider on Pacific Coast Highway at the border between Seal Beach and long Beach with a cardboard sign that read, “My family was captured by storm troopers. I need money for Jedi training.”

The would-be Jedi, allowed Patch to snap his picture. He accepted a dollar for his troubles, suggesting that Patch Photographer Thomas Wasper is a little stingy… no one ever said Jedi training was cheap.
