Get Out: Antique Cars and Tiki Fun
There will be an antique car show in Los Alamitos Saturday and a fundraiser for Mike Adler at Don the Beachcomber in Sunset Beach.
Where/When: Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 11600 Los Alamitos Boulevard, Los Alamitos, CA 90720, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why Go: Because visitors are encouraged to dress in the style and era befitting the cars – 1970s and earlier. How cool is that?

MIKE MANIA 2011: A “FUN”RAISER FOR MIKE ADLER
Where/When: Don The Beachcomber, 16278 Pacific Coast Highway
Huntington Beach, CA 92649. Saturday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Why Go: To Help raise money the owner of Seal Beach’s The Picture Show Gallery on Main Street, Mike Adler, who has been diagnosed with Metastic Adenocarcinoma. There will be good music, good food, original artwork and raffle prizes.

ROMANCE OF THE MISSION BENEFIT GALA
Where/When: Mission San Juan Capistrano, 26801 Ortega Highway, San Juan Capistrano; reception begins 6 p.m. Friday, concert starts at 7
Why go: Enjoy live entertainment from Rod Gilfry, hosted reception and delicious dinner. Proceeds benefit preservation efforts at the Mission.
Pricing: $300 per person
TASTE OF NEWPORT
Where/When: Fashion Island, 600 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach; 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, 4 to 11 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday
Why go: Sample the cuisine from more than 35 of Newport Beach's restaurants as well as wine from 15 wineries throughout California. Live entertainment from Joan Jett, Taylor Dayne, and Barenaked Ladies.
Pricing: $22 in advance, $25 at the door
ARMENIAN FESTIVAL
Where/When: Laguna Hills Community Center, 25555 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills; starts at noon Saturday and Sunday
Why go: Enjoy a variety of authentic Armenian dishes, watch dances and browse the booths. There will also be a “Fun Zone” just for kids.
Pricing: $5 for 9 years old and up, children 8 and younger free
SAN CLEMENTE CELEBRATION OF SURF MUSIC AND ART FESTIVAL
Where/When: Richard T. Steed Memorial Park, 241 Avenida la Pata, San Clemente; 4 p.m. Saturday
Why go: Three words: food, music and fun. Live entertainment includes Common Sense, Questions, SoLag Vibrations. Several art displays will be mounted around the park.
Pricing: $15 Adults, $5 under 12, under 2 free, $50 VIP
BOWLING FOR OUR BRAVE
Where/When: Saddleback Lanes, 25402 Marguerite Parkway, Mission Viejo; 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday
Why go: Raises money for the American Soldier Network, which supports the needs of recent military veterans.
