Crime: Threats Via Xbox, Arrested Twice in One Day

In the Los Alamitos week in crime, police had their hands full with multiple assaults, burglaries and one woman arrested, then arrested again before leaving the police lobby.

AUTO BURGLARY

  • 6/1/12 – 7:56 PM – 4100 Green – A report of an unauthorized person entering a vehicle by unknown means and taking property sometime during the day.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY/SHOPLIFT

  • 5/29/12 – 2:38 AM – 10900 Los Alamitos Blvd. – A report of a person grabbing property and fleeing a business. A 19 year-old man from Corona, was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

ASSAULT

  • 5/27/12 – 6:48 AM – 3500 Katella Ave. – A report of a disturbance in a business parking lot with one person involved fleeing the area. A spousal abuse report was filed.
  • 5/30/12 – 11:10 AM – 3500 Cerritos Ave. – A report of an assault and battery between three people known to each other.

DUI

  • 5/31/12 – 10:28 PM – 3800 Katella Ave. – Traffic stop. A 21 year-old man from Garden Grove was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

  • 5/27/12 – 11:45 PM – 3500 Farquhar Ave. – A 44 year-old man from Long Beach was arrested on suspicion of  possession of syringes, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and a warrant.
  • 5/30/12 – 11:53 AM – 5200 Katella Ave. – Vehicle stop. A 27 year-old man from Wilmington was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
  • 6/1/12 – 2:01 PM – Los Alamitos Blvd. and Orangewood – Traffic stop. A 30 year-old man from Fullerton was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, being under the influence of a controlled substance, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia, and a 35 year-old woman from Huntington Beach was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

THEFT

  • 5/31/12 – 11:06 AM – 10500 Calle Lee – A report of business packages left out for pick up by a delivery company being taken yesterday afternoon.
  • 6/2/12 – 2:43 PM – 3500 Katella Ave. – A report of a person posing as a customer who withdrew money using false information.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD

  • 5/30/12 – 5:32 PM – 3800 Farquhar – A report of an unknown person accessing the victim’s bank account.

MISCELLANEOUS

  • 5/30/12 – 9:30 AM – 3300 Cerritos Ave. – A report of graffiti on business equipment near the flood control channel.
  • 5/30/12 – 2:08 PM – 12000 Paseo Bonita – A report of an unauthorized person prowling at a vacant property. A 38 year-old man from Whittier was arrested on suspicion of loitering upon the property of another seeking an opportunity to commit a crime.
  • 5/31/12 – 1:04 PM – Katella Ave. and Cottonwood – Traffic stop. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 37 years, of Garden Grove, for a warrant.
  • 5/31/12 – 6:27 PM – 11300 Los Alamitos Blvd. – Pedestrian check. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, 25 years, of Lakewood, for a warrant.
  • 5/31/12 – 6:53 PM – 4000 Farquhar – A report of threats being received via the social network of an Xbox game console.
  • 6/1/12 – 3:52 PM – 4100 Cerritos Ave. – A report of a child custody order violation.
  • 6/1/12 – 4:30 PM – 11000 Bunkerhill – Assisted OC Social Services and filed a possible child neglect report.
  • 6/1/12 – 8:58 PM – 3200 Katella Ave. – A person who was arrested earlier in the day and was still seated in the front lobby of the Police Department was discovered to have given a false name. A 35 year-old woman from Huntington Beach was arrested on suspicion of for false personation of another, a warrant, and parole hold.
