350 Local LDS Youth Enjoy Mormon Formal

The "Mormal" has been held at the Cerritos Preforming Arts Center for the past seven years, according to event organizers.

More than 350 Latter-day Saints youth danced and partied the night away inside the French-inspired decorated lobby of the  during the 7th annual Mormon Formal, commonly known as the “Mormal.” 

With the Eiffel Tower as a spectacular centerpiece , the party entitled “An Evening in Paris” was held at the CCPA on Friday, March 16, drawing youths from Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Long Beach, Lakewood, Whittier, Garden Grove, Cerritos Cypress and Huntington Beach.

“It’s an event where I can get all ‘Hollywood-glammed up’ and just be me," on partier stated. "I don’t have to worry about bad music or inappropriate dancing or clothing. It’s been the time of my life.”
